Time:  Start:  9:30 AM to 02:30 PM (competitors coming after 9:30 will be allowed to compete – last person to line at approximately 12:45pm)

Range:  Rifle Range

Targets:  Metal Silhouettes of varying sizes set at distances of 25, 50, 75 & 100 yds.

Firearm(s):  .22 LR rimfire rifles and handguns of any action in good operational condition. Any sights, optics or iron, allowed but good optics strongly recommended. Slings are allowed but no palm-rests, hooked butt-plates, or shooting jackets. Exception: Physically challenged shooters may shoot from wheelchairs and use customized rifles and rests enabling them to hold firearm safely allowed.

Safety:  All firearms will be brought to the range unloaded and cased.  Competitors and observers will provide their own ear and eye protection.  All competitors MUST attend the safety / match briefing.

Restrictions:  No use of rimfire magnums.

Match Description:  This event requires shooting from offhand position only. Four offhand firing positions are set to allow competitors to engage four banks of 10 varying sized metal silhouette targets, or automated resetting targets, at ranges of 25, 50, 75 and 100 yards. Competitors may use slings but no shooting jackets, hooked butt plates, hand rests or other shooting aids allowed (exception – physically challenged shooters may be permitted use of modified firearms specifically designed to allow their safe use. Competitors will be given 4 minutes to fire 10 shots, one at each target, moving from left to right. Silhouette targets must be knocked down to count as hits. The winner(s) will be the competitors (adult, youth <18 yrs. and physically challenged adult/youth in both optics and iron) who knock down the most targets. Multiple relays may be held depending on time and interest. The Match Director will compile scores and determine the winner(s) of the match.

*Work Hours Available: Set-up at 8am, Target re-setters during match, Clean-up ~1:30*

A more detailed match description will be conveyed following the safety briefing.

Sight-in Shooting Bench:

A shooting bench will be positioned and targets set for use by competitors prior to starting their relay for sighting in to check scope zeros and make any necessary last minute adjustments. All range safety rules will be followed by rifleman when using the sighting in bench.

Note:  Match may be cancelled / rescheduled due to inclement weather.  Call the RF&G Range Number (860) 454-0240 or Match Director(s) for the match status if the weather is forecasted to impact the event.  A sign will also be posted at the entrance to the range IF the match has been cancelled.
