.22LR Pistol / Rifle Dueling Tree Match – Man on Man

Range:  Pistol Range

Targets: Two (2) Falling Plate Racks comprised of five (5) eight (8) inch diameter steel plates mounted on each. Racks will be positioned approximately 36 feet in front of the firing stations and a dueling tree in between the plate racks.Will be color coded Red, White, & blue.

Firearm(s) / Ammunition:  Any 22 LR Semi-automatic Pistol capable of holding multiple rounds using either open or optical sights. Most competitors will fire between 100-200 rounds and favor a semi-automatic pistol with a Red Dot Optical Sight and changeable 2 ten round magazine or any 2 magazines holding a total of 15 rounds combined..but no more than 10 rd capacity for each magazine.

Restrictions: 22 magnum or .17 hmr or centerfire firearms. Magazine capacity is limited to ten (10) rounds maximum.

Safety: All firearms will be brought to the range unloaded and cased. Competitors and observers will provide their own ear and eye protection. All competitors MUST attend the mandatory safety / match briefing.

Match Description: Each competitor will be assigned a number during the sign-in process. Two competitors will be selected at random to engage their respective Falling Plates and attempt to be first to knock-down their respective plates then move on to the dueling tree to hit their side of paddles to their opponents side This will continue until both opponents are out of their 15 rounds of ammunition, winners being the one with the least number of paddles on their side of the tree. This routine will continue for an additional five or more times before competitors are assigned to a squad for double eliminations. A more detailed match description will be conveyed following the mandatory safety briefing and may include modifications to the standard match protocol as the Match Director deems necessary.

Note: Match may be cancelled / rescheduled due to inclement weather. Check the RF&G Competition
Web Site or call the Range at (860) 454-0240. A cancellation notice will also be placed at the entrance to
the Pistol / Rifle Range when required.
