Kids/Junior Fishing class
The pond committee will be hosting the fishing derby in May next year as well as a class covering the basics of fishing.
The class will offer hands-on instruction on simple fishing knots, fishing lines, bait and baiting hooks as well as practice with different fishing rods and reels.
The class is intended for juniors and others needing a basic introduction to freshwater fishing.
Volunteers are needed to provide one-on-one instruction to those who sign up for the class.
You will be helping juniors learn how to tie simple knots, use leaders, tie on swivels, use lures, and bait hooks with live and
artificial bait. Here’s a chance to share your expertise, experience, tips and tricks with eager, enthusiastic juniors – and an easy way to get in your work hours for the new year.
The junior fishing class will be held on Saturday, May 8th at the club’s lower fishing pond.
We will meet a few times before the class to iron out details. Please sign up to volunteer your help on May 8th by emailing your
name, membership number, email address, and phone number to Mike Olesnevich at email@example.com.
This is an event that you will enjoy and the juniors will really appreciate. All materials and fishing gear will be provided – we just need your expertise and a little of your time.
