.22LR Steel Silhouette Match

Match starts at 9am at Rifle range with a mandatory match safety briefing. This Steel target match is limited to .22 LR rimfire rifles only, no high-speed ammo (>1300 fps).

All RFG Range Safety Rules apply except as noted: participants will shoot from the standing position at metal silhouettes targets at distances of 25, 50, 75 and 100 yards. A total of 40 shots – ten at each target distance, will be used for score. Two relays may be held with best score used in final scoring.

Top scorer in each class: Senior 65+, Adult Men/Women >18yrs, Physically Challenged and Youth (11-18) – win class. Slings will be allowed but no palm-rests, hooked butt-plates or shooting jackets. Exception: Physically challenged Riflemen may shoot from wheelchairs or seated at bench and use customized hand rests/butt plates enabling them to hold firearm safely. Any type of sight is allowed but scopes of any magnification are highly recommended.

Cost: $10, Youth <18 Free

A sight-in bench and targets will be set up for use to check zero and note any scope adjustments needed for 75 and 100 yd. targets. Eye and hearing protection are required, and all rifles must be brought to the range and firing line unloaded and cased.

Note: Targets are the larger pistol sized metal silhouettes on swingers or auto-reset, requiring no walking downrange. All steel targets are placed in ricochet containment boxes. If it is raining match will be rescheduled.
