DEEP Firearms Hunter Safety Class

The club is looking to be very active in 2025 holding two one-day DEEP Self- Study Firearms Hunter Safety Classes. Firearms classes for April 26 and June 28.

You will not be able to register for the classes until 30 days before a class is held. Registration can be done through the CT DEEP website by clicking on CT Hunting and Trapping, Hunter and Trapper Education Program and Firearms Hunter Safety Courses.

Previous classes have filled up quickly so we have set aside a limited number of spaces allocated for club members and friends. If you would like to attend a class let us know you want one of the spaces by email request to HunterSafety@rfgclub.com. Be sure to include the name of the attendee and phone number so we can reach you with a link to register. The spaces are limited and will be filled on a first come first served basis.

The Firearms class requires students to complete an online self-study course at nrahe.org and print out a certificate of completion to attend. There is no cost for the online course or to attend either class. If you plan on taking the one-day firearms class it would be good to complete the online course before you request a space.
