It’s back! The annual friendly competition between the archers and the pistol shooters will happen on Saturday, July 27. Up for grabs is a trophy or two and the right to fly the event flag for a year at the winner’s range. Ya, ya, the archers always win…but maybe this year is the year for team pistol to grab that flag! New members – we welcome you to join us. It’s a fun afternoon and a great way to meet other members.

This is a FUN event for seasoned and novice shooters and archers. This event has specific rules. Highlights from the Rules:

• Open to RF&G members only. Probationary members are welcome to participate.
• You provide your own gun/bow, ammo/arrows, eye, and ear protection.
• Pistol shooters shoot down range at 25 yards on pistol range. Archery shooters shoot 20 yards down range at archery range.
• Archery equipment: Longbow, Recurve or Compound, no cross bows, Fingers or Release, Wood, aluminum or carbon composite arrows, Field points, Fixed non-lighted pins. Can be fiber optic-colored pins. No magnification.
• Pistol Equipment: Any caliber, shooter supplies own ammunition, targets supplied by RF&G. One or two hand grip, standing, no contact with bench while shooting, iron sights or red\green dots, but NO magnification will be permitted.

Day of event schedule:

• Practice: 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm (optional).
• Check in at your respective range: 3:00 pm-3:20 pm.
• Safety meeting: 3:30 pm. All participants MUST be present for the safety meeting at
  their respective ranges.
• Competition will start at 4:00 pm. Scores will be announced around 6:00 pm during the
  chicken BBQ dinner.
