DEEP Firearms Hunter Safety Class

You will not be able to register for the classes until 30 days before a class is held. Registration can be done through the CT Deep website by clicking on CT Hunting and Trapping, Hunter and Trapper Education Program and Firearms Hunter Safety Courses.

Previous classes have filled up quickly so we have set aside a limited number of spaces allocated for club members and friends. If you would like to attend a class let Marvin know you want one of the spaces by contacting Marvin Thomas (860- 593-6572) for the Firearms class. The spaces are limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis.

The Firearms class requires students to complete an online self-study course at nrahe.org and print out a certificate of completion to attend. There is no cost for the online course or to attend either class. If you plan on taking the one-day firearms class it would be good to complete the online course before you request a space

We are looking for people who are interested in becoming a Hunter Safety Instructor. It is a great way of helping preserve our sport and hunting heritage. If you are a hunter or have an interest in hunting consider joining us at a class and getting a first-hand look at what is involved. The initial commitment would be the day of the class and a couple of hours of preparation. Call Marvin if you are interested or have questions.
