September 14 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
This class is designed for youth (and their parents if they choose) interested in learning how to shoot trap and skeet properly and safely. Any youth mature and strong enough to safely handle a shotgun is invited to attend. Participants will be instructed on how a shotgun works, shotgun actions, basic firearms safety rules, proper handling, and shooting of shotguns with actual hands-on activity.
The Club provides use of a shotgun, 50 rounds of ammo, eye and ear protection and supervised shooting instruction.
Free for youth thanks to a grant from the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) First Shots program and the Rockville Fish & Game Club SEES fund which supports special events and education. Thanks to the RF&G Trap and Skeet Committee for providing instruction, coaching and range time for this course.
The class is open to members and non-members. Parents wishing to take the class with their youth are charged $25 to cover the cost of materials. Payment can be made the day of the class.
